About Fitsource

Fitsource started with a small, recurring frustration: scrolling Instagram, seeing an outfit that just works, and having no idea where any of it came from. The caption never says. The comments are forty people asking the same question. You screenshot it and forget.

So we built the thing we wanted. Drop that screenshot in and Fitsource reads the outfit, names each piece — the cut, the colour, the fabric — and shows where to buy it at three price points: something budget, something mid, something premium. Not a single "buy this exact item" (it usually isn't for sale any more), but the range of ways to get the look at the price you're comfortable with.

Alongside the tool we publish Looks: outfits we've traced ourselves, with a few paragraphs on why the combination works and what to look for in each piece. That part is written by hand.

Who runs it

Fitsource is made by Emeka, a software engineer in Lagos, Nigeria, who spends more time than he'd admit looking at other people's coats. It's a one-person operation with no investors and no agency behind it.

How it pays for itself

Some shop links earn a commission, and the side spaces are sold to advertisers by weekly auction. Both are disclosed on every page and neither changes which result you see first. The details are in the editorial policy; questions go to contact.

What we don't do

We never store the photo you upload — it's read once and discarded. We don't run accounts, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. We don't sell your email. The privacy page is short because there isn't much to say.
